On 29th June 2011, the ballroom of Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur was packed with leaders, practitioners and simulation enthusiasts from the Marine, Oil and Gas industries. They were attending the first ever ANSYS ASEAN Marine, Oil & Gas (AAMOG 2011) Malaysia organized by CAD-IT Consultants with the support of ANSYS Inc.

CAD-IT's guest speaker, Dr. Chris Craddock (Director of the Consultancy Department from BMT Fluid Mechanics) presented various case studies on how ANSYS CFD has provided effective solutions for the Oil and Gas industry, which range from oil leaking control to hydrodynamic loading.

Mr Timothy Kwan, Product Management
Director. CAD-IT, delivering the
Welcome Address.

Mr. Andy Tan, Sales Director, CAD-IT,
giving an overview of CAD-IT and ANSYS, Inc.

Dr. Chris Craddock wowed the audience
with CFD solutions for the Oil & Gas

Mr. Paul Schofield on global analysis
and design assessment
of offshore structures.

Mr. Michael Slack underlining the
importance of simulation for offshore
drilling and production

Mr. Paul Schofield (Lead Engineer from ANSYS Inc.) focused on the simulation technology for the Marine/Offshore, global analysis, design assessment of offshore structures, hydrodynamics and mooring analysis.

Mr. Michael Slack (Team leader - Fluids from ANSYS Inc.) shared his extensive experience and knowledge on chemical processing, energy, oil & gas, offshore drilling and productions. He also highlighted how ANSYS CFD applications are used widely for gas dispersion, smoke analysis, separation and sloshing in the Oil & Gas Industry.

productivity gains resulting from
the use of NVIDIA GPU

The delegates who packed the ballroom learned much from the
speakers' insightful presentations.

More than 90% of the participants stated that their objectives have been fulfilled, and 70% indicated that they have gained a deeper insight about how they can increase their products' quality and  accelerate their product development process with ANSYS simulation technology. They are looking forward to attending more of such events in the future.

Delegates having a great time of networking..
